Moroccan Security Chief Appoints New Officials in Key Cities

The Director General of National Security (DGSN), Abdellatif Hammouchi has made a new series of appointments within the institution, both at the regional and local levels. This time, they concern the cities of Rabat, Salé, Meknes, Laayoune and El Jadida.
More specifically, these promotions have taken place in the uniformed police force at the head of the public order maintenance service at the general security directorate and within the IT and administrative service of the public order maintenance teams. There is also the appointment of a young security executive to head the audiovisual files and operations of the same central directorate, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
The objective, according to the DGSN press release, is to increase the efficiency and profitability of human resources, by ensuring a rotation in the taking of responsibilities and entrusting the operational management of the police services to highly trained and qualified skills, capable of implementing and deploying work strategies aimed at strengthening the security of citizens and property.
At the level of the judicial police, the appointment of a head of the anti-drug service of the international anti-crime unit as well as a head of the IT monitoring and coordination service of the institute of forensic science and evidence of the central directorate is announced.
At the regional level, there have been the appointment of several heads of national security services, including a deputy regional chief in M’hamid (Marrakech), a manager of the urban district of the 1st region of Meknes as well as a district chief in the city of Touissit Boubker. And also the installation of several patrol brigade chiefs in Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma.
