Morocco and Israel Bolster Security Cooperation as Police Chiefs Meet in Rabat

During a working visit to Morocco this week, the head of the Israeli police, Yaakov Shabtai, was received on Tuesday by the Director General of Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi.
These exchanges aim "to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations in the security field and lay the foundations for security cooperation in the service of the common interests of the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Israel", indicates a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The DGSN aims "to share experiences and expertise in various security fields, particularly in the fight against terrorism and various forms of organized transnational crime", adds the same source.
To recall, this trip by the Inspector General of the Israeli police follows the visit of the head of the Israeli army last month, as ties between the two countries are tightening within the framework of the normalization of their relations.
