Over 10,000 Moroccan Police Officers Receive Promotions

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has unveiled the number of police officers promoted for the 2024 fiscal year. No less than 10,393 police officers, including 466 women, have thus climbed the ranks of the hierarchy.
This wave of promotions, which concerns 7,005 uniformed agents and 3,388 civilian agents, represents 68% of the total number of candidates, a record figure compared to previous years. The DGSN has particularly focused on the lower and intermediate ranks. For example, 3,564 police sergeants, 1,269 chief sergeants and 1,716 senior inspectors have benefited from an advancement.
The attribution of these promotions was based on an evaluation charter taking into account criteria such as professional competence, merit, seniority and the behavior of the agents, according to the DGSN. The nature and importance of the missions entrusted have also been taken into account.
The DGSN recalls, in its press release, the importance of these promotions, announced regularly at the end of each year. They encourage police officers to redouble their efforts in their missions of protecting citizens and their property.
