Morocco Launches Tourism Rebound at Paris Trade Fair, Targeting French Market

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and Moroccan professionals are taking part in the 42nd edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair "IFTM Top Resa", a meeting that is being held from October 5 to 8 in Paris. Objective: to reconquer the French market.

A regular at the "Top Resa" show since its inception, Morocco is still present to promote its precious asset: tourism. Participation in this 2021 edition is part of the vast plan to revive the tourism sector, which has been in decline due to the Covid-19 crisis.

For its offensive campaign launched a few months ago, the ONMT has highlighted the diversity of the tourism offer, and intends to identify new French partnership avenues for the international influence of the Moroccan destination. The French market being the leading outbound market for the Kingdom.

In short, the exhibitors want to reassure French professionals and above all maintain contact with airlines and travel prescribers in order to guarantee a rapid and sustainable recovery after Covid-19.

On this occasion, a Moroccan stand has been set up by the ONMT at the entrance to the tour operator village and showcases various operators from all regions. "Groundwork has been done by the ONMT with all its French partners and with action plans that we have activated at the first signs of recovery. We are comforted in our approach by all the positive feedback received by the destination and Moroccan operators," said Adel El Fakir, Director General of the ONMT.
