Morocco Launches Tourism Push with Major French Travel Retailers

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) continues its offensive policy to revive the tourism sector. It has just signed new partnerships for the launch of two promotional operations on the distribution networks of the Carrefour Voyages and Havas Voyages groups from April 1, 2022.

These new agreements, according to the ONMT, strengthen the partnerships forged with the major airlines and the leading tour operators in the French market. And more importantly, the office has set itself the mission of investing in the most important distribution networks in the country, in order to encourage French travelers to put Morocco at the top of their favorite destinations to discover or rediscover.

"It is important for us today to stimulate our sales force to be as close as possible to our potential customers. Carrefour Voyages and Havas Voyages are leading travel distributors in their field. These partnerships are therefore important and strategic in our mission to reconquer our main markets," said the CEO of the ONMT, Adel El Fakir.

Thus, it is planned from April 1 to April 22 and from June 1 to June 28 on the sales networks of the Carrefour Voyages and Havas Voyages groups, the launch of two promotional operations, targeting tourism professionals, the general public, whether in travel agencies or on websites and social networks. There will also be the strengthening of the capacities of more than 600 experts on the potential and riches of the Moroccan destination.

Carrefour Voyages belongs to a group that owns 167 points of sale in France with more than 600 travel experts. The group has a portfolio of 1345 destinations in France and around the world. As for Havas Voyages, it is a leading travel distributor in France, with 335 agencies and 1,200 Travel Planners present throughout the French territory.
