Morocco Secures Major Tourism Deals at French Travel Show Amid Industry Shake-ups

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has secured several partnerships during its participation in the 41st edition of the IFTM TOP Resa trade show, the largest French tourism and travel trade show.
The bankruptcy of Thomas Cook, as well as those of Aigle Azur and XL Airways, have not destroyed Morocco’s determination to open up to other horizons.
In total, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has secured three commercial contracts at the 41st edition of IFTM Top Resa in Paris. It was Adel El Fakir, its Director General, who signed these contracts.
The first was signed between the ONMT and NG travel, a holding company present in the tour operating market. It plans a 30% growth on the Moroccan destination for the 2019-2020 winter period compared to last year.
The second contract was signed between the ONMT and MisterFly, a producer of stays and a travel distributor, specialized in online booking of airline tickets, hotel nights and car rentals.
The third contract links the ONMT to Transavia France for the 2019/2020 winter season, with, in particular, the opening of the new direct Paris Orly-Ouarzazate line, with 2 frequencies per week, and the strengthening of the Nantes-Agadir line, to 5 frequencies per week.
