Transavia Expands Morocco Routes: New Paris-Ouarzazate Flight Launched

The 11th air service was launched on Thursday, November 7 between Paris-Orly Airport and Ouarzazate by the French airline, Transavia. At a rate of two flights per week, the new flight is part of the agreement for the 2019/2020 winter season, indicates the Paris representation of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
And 11 for Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group. This is now the number of its routes to Morocco. This launch is part of a partnership agreement.
According to MAP, it was signed last month, on the sidelines of the International Tourism Professionals Fair, IFTM Top Resa, in Paris, between the Director General of the ONMT, Adel El Fakir, and the Chairman and CEO of Transavia, Nathalie Stubler.
The same source reports that the agreement aims to develop and strengthen the airline’s capacity, from France, to the various tourist destinations in Morocco, its first portfolio, alongside Portugal.
The carrier has put in place an offer of 295,000 seats to the Kingdom, from France, thanks, in particular, to the opening of new routes, starting with Paris Orly/Ouarzazate (2 flights per week) and Paris Orly/Nador (1 flight per week).
In addition, there is the strengthening in number of the frequencies of existing routes, notes the same source, which also indicates that this measure was taken as part of the agreement for the 2019/2020 winter season.
It should be noted that the airline had put in place, in 2018, 692,000 seats to Morocco, up 36% compared to the previous year and transported 632,000 passengers to the Kingdom, with an average load factor of 91%.
