Transavia Launches Direct Paris-Ouarzazate Flights, Boosting Morocco Tourism

Starting November 7, a direct air service between Paris-Orly and Ouarzazate will be operational, with two flights per week. It will be the French airline Transavia that will operate the flight.
The opening of this new route is part of the partnership agreement for the 2019-2020 winter season, linking the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and Transavia, as well as the strengthening of the Nantes-Agadir route.
A partnership agreement was signed on Tuesday, on the occasion of the International Tourism Trade Show, IFTM Top Resa, in Paris, by the Director General of the ONMT, Adel El Fakir, and the Chairman and CEO of Transavia, Nathalie Stubler.
It is mainly aimed at the development and strengthening of capacities, from France, to the various tourist destinations in Morocco.
The Air France subsidiary set up 692,000 seats to Morocco in 2018, an increase of 36% compared to the previous year. It transported 632,000 passengers to the Kingdom with an average load factor of 91%.
The launch of this Paris-Ouarzazate air link is logical since the Kingdom is the company’s number one portfolio alongside Portugal.
