Morocco’s Hakimi and Boufal Named to AFCON 2021 Group Stage Best XI

Achraf Hakimi and Soufian Boufal are among the eleven players in the team of the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), unveiled by the African Football Confederation (CAF).
Author of fine performances during the first three matches of the competition, PSG fullback Achraf Hakimi has confirmed his status as an exceptional player. Passer, then scorer in the match against Gabon, he allowed Morocco to snatch the draw (2-2), thus maintaining the first place in the group.
As for Soufiane Boufal, he delivered in the Moroccan attack, scoring two goals in the three matches. Very present in the offensive sector, the Angers SCO player has reinforced coach Halilhodzic in his choices.
It should be noted that Morocco, Egypt, and Nigeria dominated this ranking, each positioning two players. The complete list is as follows:
In goal Mohamed El-Shenawy, defenders, the Nigerian Troost-Ekong and the Egyptian Hegazy, left-back the Ivorian Ghislain Konan, right-back Achraf Hakimi. In midfield, we find the star of the Syli National (Guinean) Naby Keita, the Malian Yves Bissouma and the Gambian Musa Barrrow. The attack line is made up of Soufiane Boufal, the Nigerian Moses Simon and the Cameroonian Vincent Aboubacar.
