Designated best right-back at the end of the group stage of the AFCON by CAF, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is on his way to becoming the best player of the competition, according to some observers.
They have mentioned the statistics of the Moroccan right-back which, according to them, are eloquent and sufficient to establish him as one of the best players of this AFCON, while the competition is only at the quarter-final stage.
The PSG player is making his mark on this AFCON, as shown by these figures: At the round of 16 stage, he has already hit the target six times, 3 times more than any other defender.
He is the first player to score 2 direct free-kick goals during the same edition since 2008. He has also touched 315 balls, more than any other player during the competition. Finally, Hakimi has made 59 passes into the final third, the highest figure since the start of the competition.
