Morocco fuel prices drop 50 cents diesel pump savings
Pump prices should fall from next week in Morocco. This decline, expected just after the Eid al-Adha holidays, stems directly from the fall in global oil prices linked to recent geopolitical developments.
Relief in the crude oil market will soon benefit Moroccan motorists. On the international scale, prices continue to fall due to diplomatic news. American President Donald Trump has indeed announced an imminent agreement with Iran. This compromise includes the long-awaited reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic maritime corridor through which nearly one-fifth of global oil supply transits.

This international improvement will be reflected at Moroccan service stations from the end of this holiday period. The liter of diesel will be the main beneficiary of this price decline. "The drop should be around 50 cents per liter", specifies a source close to the matter, pending final validation of the price lists by distribution companies. The situation is much more unclear for gasoline. This fuel had already suffered a surge of approximately 52 cents in the middle of the current month, and nothing currently indicates that it will benefit from this downward trend.
