Fuel Prices Set to Drop Significantly in Morocco

In Morocco, fuel prices could see a new drop as early as this Saturday. Thus, the price of a liter of diesel should drop by 44 cents and that of gasoline by 50 cents.
Fuel prices in Morocco have stabilized in recent months. In Rabat, a liter of diesel is sold at 11.66 dirhams in service stations and a liter of gasoline at 13.65 dirhams. The announced price drop would be due to the stability of international prices, after the easing of tensions in the Middle East, explain industry sources to Hespress, specifying that this price reduction should be observed in all service stations in the kingdom.
This new price drop follows a series of increases and slight decreases ranging between 20 and 40 cents. Moroccan motorists hope for more significant drops and an alignment of prices practiced in Morocco with those internationally. To recall, fuel prices had fallen by nearly 12 cents per liter, after an increase at the beginning of the month and a series of decreases recorded since last summer.
