Moroccan Fuel Prices Surge in June, Reversing Recent Declines

After successive decreases, fuel prices are rising again, much to the dismay of Moroccan motorists.
June starts badly for Moroccan motorists. After two months of stability or even decline, fuel prices have recorded a slight increase since Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 00:01, reports Le Matin. The price of diesel has climbed to nearly 11.26 DH/liter, that of gasoline to nearly 13.22 DH/liter.
These increases will be more significant at gas stations in certain cities of the kingdom due to transportation costs and distance. This price rise occurs in a context of volatility in international oil markets and variation in logistical costs, key elements in the formation of pump prices in Morocco.
On April 1, the price of a liter of diesel had decreased by 0.16 dirham, after a first decline of about 12 cents in March. The price of gasoline had remained stable, following a notable drop of 50 cents in mid-March.
