Moroccan Fuel Prices Drop Again: Diesel and Gasoline See Further Decline

In Morocco, fuel prices are still slightly decreasing. This will further relieve Moroccan motorists.
The price of diesel and gasoline continues to decline. As of this Tuesday, January 16, the approximate average price of a liter of diesel will drop by 31 cents, while gasoline will drop by 6 cents per liter at service stations in most Moroccan cities. Consequently, the selling price of diesel should now be set at 13 dirhams per liter. As for the average price of gasoline, it should now be set at 14.40 dirhams per liter. However, these declines will be less significant at service stations in certain cities of the kingdom due to the cost of transportation and distance.
Since Monday, January 8, fuel prices have started to decline slightly. The price of diesel has dropped by about 6 cents, while that of gasoline has seen a drop of about 9 cents. The continued easing of oil prices on international markets is behind this drop in pump prices.
Since 2022, the government of Aziz Akhannouch has been providing direct financial assistance to freight and passenger transporters of all categories (taxis, buses, trucks, road tractors, etc.), the surge in prices requires it. The financial envelope amounts to more than 5 billion dirhams.
