This unique envelope could be used to carry out projects that are difficult to finance within an ordinary cycle, notably stadiums, national technical centers or other long-term infrastructure.
Participation would be voluntary. The FRMF would therefore need to present a project and request access to financing, which would not be automatically granted to it.
A separate envelope from FIFA Forward
According to FIFA, these exceptional $20 million would be added to the regular FIFA Forward program.
For the 2027-2030 period, ordinary financing available to each federation would also increase from $8 to $20 million. It could support infrastructure, coach training, national teams, competitions, grassroots football and women’s football.
