CAN 2025: A historic jackpot awaits the future champion, here are the prizes

The stakes will not only be sporting on the pitches of the Kingdom. The governing body of African football has validated a new, particularly generous remuneration policy for the TotalEnergies CAN Morocco 2025. The total budget allocated to the prizes amounts to $32 million, confirming CAF’s desire to significantly revalue the status of the continental competition.

The grand winner of the tournament will hit the jackpot with a prize of $7 million, and we hope it will be Morocco. This amount marks a clear increase compared to the 2023 edition, where the champion had received €5 million. The unfortunate finalist will not be left behind and will receive $4 million for their run.

This financial windfall will be allocated proportionally to the progress of each team. The semi-finalists are assured of receiving $2.5 million, while the quarter-finalists will receive $1.3 million. The scale also provides for $800,000 for the nations reaching the round of 16. Even the teams eliminated in the group stage will leave with an allocation: $700,000 for the third-placed teams in the groups and $500,000 for the last-placed teams.
