Morocco’s U20 Heroes Showered with Millions After World Cup Triumph
The day after their historic triumph at the U20 World Cup in Chile, the members of the Moroccan national team were rewarded with exceptional financial bonuses. This royal gesture underscores the significance of this unprecedented achievement for national football.
Coach Mohamed Ouahbi, the architect of this victory, received an exceptional bonus of 6 million dirhams (600,000 euros). This individual reward recognizes his role in the conquest of the first world title in the history of Moroccan football.
His assistant, Jamel Aït Ben Idir, as well as each of the players who participated in the Chilean epic, also received a significant bonus. They each received an amount of 3 million dirhams, in recognition of their performance and contribution to this success.
The royal gratification extended to the entire staff who accompanied the team. The members of the technical, medical and administrative teams, as well as the video analysis and equipment managers, each received a bonus of around 1 million dirhams.
