Moroccan Football Chief Re-elected to FIFA Council with Overwhelming Support

On the sidelines of the 14th Extraordinary General Assembly of CAF, held in Cairo, Egypt, Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), managed to retain his seat on the FIFA Council. How much will he earn per year?
Resounding success for Fouzia Lekjaa. With 49 votes out of 53, he was re-elected this Wednesday, March 12, 2025 as the representative member of Africa on the FIFA Council, during the 14th Extraordinary General Assembly of CAF, organized in Cairo, Egypt. For comparison, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) obtained the highest number of votes. He is followed by the 71-year-old Egyptian veteran Hani Abou Rida, and Djibrilla Hima Hamidou (35 votes each). Kanizat Ibrahim, credited with 30 votes, and Ahmed Yahya and Souleiman Waberi, who each obtained 29 votes, follow.
The term of office of each elected member is four years. As for their remuneration, each of them will receive $250,000 per year, reports Afrik Foot.
