Morocco Extends Airline Ticket Price Cuts to Gulf Routes for Expats

The ambiguity is definitively lifted on the issue of reducing airline ticket prices. The Gulf countries are indeed concerned by this measure, say the Moroccan authorities.
All destinations are affected by the reduction in airline ticket prices, including the Gulf countries, said on Tuesday the Minister Delegate in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs), Nezha El Ouafi, during the oral question session at the House of Councillors.
She pointed out that some destinations, particularly the Gulf countries, have not yet published the prices of airline tickets and that this will be done soon.
In her intervention, El Ouafi took the opportunity to recall that the exceptional measure to reduce airline ticket prices, which are in line with the directives of King Mohammed VI, aims to practice reasonable prices that are affordable for everyone. It also aims to ensure a sufficient number of rotations to allow Moroccan families abroad to return to the country and reconnect with their families and loved ones, particularly in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Saudi Arabia has been added to the "B" list of countries from which travelers must undergo a PCR test of at least 48 hours and a 10-day isolation (quarantine) in hotels to be designated by the public authorities, detailed Ms. Nezha El Ouafi.
On the other hand, travelers from countries on the "A" list can access the national territory if they have a vaccination certificate or a PCR test of at least 48 hours.
