Morocco Designates 17 Cities for Mandatory Quarantine of Travelers from High-Risk Countries

More details are known about the arrangements made for the quarantine of travelers entering Morocco from countries on the B list. A total of 17 cities have been selected for this purpose by the Moroccan authorities.
According to the details provided on Tuesday by Nezha El Ouafi, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad, travelers from countries on the B list will be subject to a 10-day health isolation in hotels pre-listed in 17 cities of the kingdom.

These hotels are located in Casablanca, Tangier, Asilah, Tetouan, Essaouira, Inezgane, Ait Melloul, Dakhla, Ouarzazate, Nador, Oujda, Agadir, Laayoune, Al Hoceima, Marrakech, Rabat and Fez.
The costs of the stay, including those of the transfer from the airport to the hotel, are borne by the traveler and will be paid in advance. As for the list of selected hotels, it will be published soon, announces the minister.
On June 15, several air links resumed to and from the kingdom, based on exceptional authorizations, since Morocco’s airspace is still closed due to the health measures taken to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
