Morocco Detects COVID-19 Cases Among Vaccinated Travelers from Middle East

Several cases of Covid-19 infections have been detected among Moroccans coming from the Middle East or Gulf countries, placed in a 10-day quarantine according to the health measures in force for travelers from the B list countries.
According to Alyaoum24, among the people detected as carriers of the coronavirus, some have been vaccinated and presented a negative PCR result upon arrival. However, the Moroccan authorities did not reveal the exact number of cases, the news site points out, while stressing that the health precautions have made it possible to detect these cases of infection.
Since the resumption of flights to and from the kingdom, a 10-day isolation in targeted hotels by the Moroccan authorities in 17 cities is imposed for all persons coming from a country belonging to the B list, including the Middle East and Gulf countries. In addition to this quarantine, the traveler must present a negative PCR test dated 48 hours before his trip. Even better, he will have to undergo a test on the 9th day of isolation.
These measures have provoked strong protests among some travelers, particularly at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.
