Morocco Considers Easing COVID Restrictions as Cases Stabilize and Vaccinations Progress

Morocco could once again ease its health restrictions. For the past few days, the epidemiological situation has stabilized and the vaccination campaign is making great strides.
An easing of the restrictions imposed under the state of health emergency should take place in the coming days, according to La Vie éco. It is hoped that the restrictions in force on intercity travel will be eased. The relaxation will be gradual, initially in the so-called green zones or areas with a low epidemiological incidence.
The new measures will also affect certain cultural and sporting activities. Cinemas and gyms could probably be allowed to reopen. There would also be more flexibility in the organization of parties and weddings. The airspace could reopen in the very near future.
For now, an interministerial commission is looking into the modalities for implementing a health pass for travel abroad.
