Morocco Introduces Mandatory Health Passport for International Travel

To travel outside of Morocco, people already vaccinated against Covid-19 will have to present a health passport, a document that is now mandatory.
For Abderrahim Rachidi, head of the health control service at the Tanger Med port, this new passport will allow Moroccan travelers to travel to all countries.
With vaccination against Covid-19, which entitles the holder to a health passport, states, under the supervision of the World Health Organization (WHO), will be able to allow their citizens to travel outside their national territory, without requiring a negative PCR test.
The Covid-19 vaccination campaign makes it possible to hope for an early reopening of borders, said Abderrahim Rachodi, who recalled that the flow of goods has never diminished, despite the closure of borders.
Launched on Thursday at the royal palace in Fez by King Mohammed VI, who received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, the national vaccination campaign continues. The first wave concerns the elderly, healthcare personnel and the army.
