Morocco’s Auto Sales Surge 8.42% in July, Signaling Market Recovery

The Moroccan automotive market is showing an encouraging rebound in July 2024, with 14,219 new vehicles sold, an increase of 8.42% compared to July 2023. This summer recovery follows a slight decline the previous month.
With a total of 96,505 units sold since the beginning of the year, the market is recording a growth of 2.08% compared to the same period last year. This positive momentum is particularly pronounced in July, with an increase of 8.42% compared to July 2023, driven in particular by a renewed interest in light commercial vehicles (+46.53%).
In the passenger car segment, Dacia maintains its undisputed leader status with a market share of 26.04%. Renault and Hyundai complete the podium. For light commercial vehicles, Renault largely dominates, followed by Ford and DFSK.
The German trio BMW, Audi, Mercedes still dominates the premium segment. BMW is showing strong growth with 421 sales (+49.83%), followed by Audi which is stabilizing at 384 sales and Mercedes which is progressing slightly to 216 sales (+3.85%).
