Morocco and Israel Sign Key Cooperation Agreements During Historic Visit

As part of the first visit by the Israeli Foreign Minister to Morocco, seven months after the normalization of relations, Morocco and Israel signed three cooperation agreements on Wednesday in Rabat.
These agreements were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid and cover in particular political cooperation, aviation and culture, reports the MAP.
The first memorandum of understanding concerns the establishment of mechanisms relating to political consultations. It aims to contribute to the deepening and strengthening of the multifaceted cooperation relations between the two countries, to hold regular bilateral consultations to examine the various aspects of their bilateral relations.
The second cooperation agreement covers the fields of culture, youth and sports. It establishes a framework through which the two parties support and encourage the development of their cooperation in the fields of culture, youth and sports. The two countries are convinced that efficient bilateral cooperation in this area will contribute to the strengthening of their relations and the development of mutually beneficial links between the two countries.
As for the third agreement, it concerns air services with the main objective of promoting the international aviation system based on competition between airlines, establishing air transport networks providing air services that meet the travel and delivery needs of the public, with competitive prices and services in open markets.
