Morocco Aims to Clinch Quarter-Final Spot in Women’s AFCON Against Uganda

After their victory over Burkina Faso in the opening match of the 2022 Women’s AFCON, the Atlas Lionesses are preparing to face Uganda on Tuesday in order to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
Scheduled for Tuesday at 9pm at the Moulay Abdellah complex in Rabat for the second day of Group A, this match is an opportunity for the Moroccan players if they wish to remain in the race. Despite their victory over Burkina Faso, Reynald Pedros’ protégées showed some weaknesses that would need to be corrected before hoping for any qualification to the quarter-finals.
However, on paper, it is the Moroccans who are the favorites since the Ugandans had been beaten (2-0) by the Senegalese. But nothing is won in advance, especially since for its second participation in the AFCON, Uganda does not intend to stop there.
A decisive match for Reynald Pedros and his players, who have no room for error in front of their audience. If the coach manages to correct the weaknesses on the offensive side, it is possible that Morocco will come out with a victory.
