Morocco’s Women’s Team Faces Challenges Ahead of African Cup of Nations

Are the Atlas Lionesses ready to participate in the Women’s African Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco from July 2 to 23? The various friendly matches that served as preparation have not been conclusive.
On Thursday, the national women’s team drew 0-0 against the Ivorian team at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex. Before this match, they had also conceded a draw last Saturday against Zambia (1-1). A rather reassuring result a few days before the opening of the CAN in Morocco. For its first match, Morocco faces Burkina Faso.
Coach Reynald Pedros will have to give the necessary instructions if he intends to go as far as possible in the competition. In any case, the match against Côte d’Ivoire revealed many flaws that will have to be corrected before the start of the competition.
