Six Moroccan universities are among the best universities in the World, according to the latest global ranking "The Times Higher Education" which includes 1,200 of the best universities from 99 countries.

According to this ranking, Morocco ranks third in Africa and fourth in the Arab world, the Ministry of National Education said, adding that THE takes into account precise scientific criteria such as the quality of teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer or international openness.

In this ranking, the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University of Fez (ranked 801-1000) and the Ibn Tofail University of Kenitra (1001-1200) are found. The Hassan 1st University of Settat, Hassan II of Casablanca, Cadi Ayyad of Marrakech and Mohammed VI of Rabat are for their part ranked in the 1,201st place.

These recognitions confirm, it is affirmed, the high level of Moroccan researchers and teachers and the relevance of the efforts of the different components of the national system of higher education, scientific research and innovation.

It should be noted that the number of Moroccan universities appearing in this global ranking has increased compared to the previous year, going from five to six in the field of physics and from two to three in clinical sciences and life sciences.
