Four Moroccan Universities Make Global Top 2000 in CWUR Rankings

For the 2022-2023 academic year, four Moroccan universities are featured in the ranking of the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), which lists the top 2,000 universities in the world.
These are the Mohammed V University of Rabat, the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, the Hassan II University of Casablanca and finally the Mohammed I University of Oujda.
According to the statistics, the Mohammed V University of Rabat tops the Moroccan ranking with a score of 70.5, ranking 950th globally. It is followed by the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, ranked 1,024 in the world, with a score of 70.1 points. Then come the Hassan II University of Casablanca and the Mohammed I University of Oujda, ranked 1,069 and 1,090 in the world respectively.
The CWTS international ranking is based on "the quality of education, the employment of former students, the quality of the faculty and research performance". The center bases its evaluation on seven indicators grouped into four key areas: Education, Employability, Faculty and Research, the center emphasized.
Globally, American universities dominate the ranking, followed by China (302), Japan (118), the United Kingdom (94), Germany (69), India (67) and South Korea (57). In Africa, Egypt is at the top with 20 universities, followed by South Africa (12) and Tunisia (5).
