Moroccan University Climbs to 32nd in Africa in Global QS Ranking

The 2023 edition of the QS world university Ranking of the best universities in the world was published on Wednesday. A Moroccan university has managed to climb to 32nd place in Africa.
Moroccan universities continue to make progress in international rankings. Mohammed V University of Rabat is among the 1,418 best in the world in the new QS 2023 university ranking.
With 32 universities present in this ranking, the African continent remains the least represented, although an improvement should be noted, with 32 places compared to 31 in the previous edition.
According to QS, the University of Cape Town retains the first place in the ranking. It is followed by its compatriot from Johannesburg. The American University of Cairo in Egypt, for its part, is reintegrating the top three that it left in 2021.
To establish its ranking, the firm took into account the academic reputation of the universities (40%), the reputation and employability of graduates (10%), the student-faculty ratio (20%), scientific publications (20%), the ratio of international faculty (5%) and the ratio of international students (5%).
