Mohammed V University of Rabat is the first in the Maghreb, according to the latest annual ranking of world universities by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), published on Monday.
The University of Rabat thus maintains its leading position in the Maghreb, as for the second consecutive year, it stands out by winning the first place at the national and Maghreb levels, indicates a press release from the presidency of the university.
For this edition, the university ranks 11th at the Arab and African levels and 950th worldwide, the note adds.
To establish this ranking, CWUR took into account the number and quality of publications and the number of citations in quality journals over the past 10 years. This evaluation covered the 2,000 best universities out of a total of 19,788 higher education institutions, according to the same source.
