Moroccan University Ranks Among World’s Top 1,300 in Global QS Ranking

The Mohammed V University of Rabat (UM5) is on the list of the world’s best universities published on Tuesday by the British firm Quacquarelli Symonds, according to a statement from the Moroccan university’s presidency.
This international QS World University Ranking 2022 in which only one Moroccan university, the UM5, is featured, includes the 1,300 best universities in the world, selected based on six criteria.
The most important in the balance, in terms of criteria, are academic reputation which accounts for 40%, the faculty/student ratio for 20% as well as the quality of research (20%) and also the reputation of the employer for 10%.
Other criteria such as the ratio of international faculty (5%) and the ratio of international students (5%) are taken into account in this ranking. Regarding publications and citations, the data taken into account by the study are those from the international SCOPUS database.
Welcoming this laudatory result, the leaders of the UM5 in Rabat expressed their gratitude to the teaching and administrative staff, as well as the university’s partners and researchers.
