Moroccan Universities Lead Africa and Arab World in Global Physics Rankings

Moroccan dynamism has once again proven itself. In the Shanghai Ranking (Academic Ranking of World Universities), four Moroccan universities are among the best in the world in the field of physics.
With its four universities in the ranking of the best universities in the world, Morocco is ranked first in Africa, tied with South Africa, and in the Arab world, for universities distinguished in physics. Thus, the Mohammed 1st University of Oujda is among the top 300 institutions in this prestigious ranking, said the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research in a press release published on Thursday. In the top 400 in physics are the Mohammed V University of Rabat, Hassan II University of Casablanca and Cady Ayyad University of Marrakech.
These four Moroccan universities are thus among the 10 best in Africa and among the 9 best in the Arab world, the statement said. Thanks to this ranking, Morocco’s dynamism has once again been proven and also shows that Moroccan universities are on the right track to improve their regional and continental leadership, not to mention the great work done by Moroccan researchers, rejoices the ministry.
