Moroccan Tourist in Critical Condition After Brutal Bar Attack in Majorca

A 20-year-old Moroccan man was violently assaulted on Wednesday by a group of individuals in a bar in Cales, Majorca. He is currently fighting for his life in a hospital in Son Espases. The suspects of the assault, already identified by the police, are on the run.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night into Wednesday. The suspects attacked the victim from behind in a bar and one of them then beat him with kicks once he had collapsed, before fleeing, according to sources close to the case.

Local police officers from Manacor, accompanied by health workers, quickly arrived at the scene of the assault and found the victim unconscious on the ground. They managed to revive the young Moroccan, then transported him by ambulance to the Son Espases hospital where he was admitted to the emergency room with several head injuries. But his condition deteriorated a few hours later. He is currently between life and death.

The national police have opened an investigation to identify and apprehend the alleged perpetrators of this deadly assault. In this context, the agents have viewed security cameras near the bar as well as those of the traffic to identify the alleged perpetrators of this savage assault. They have also spoken with residents, looking for potential witnesses to provide them with information on the circumstances and suspects of the assault.
Acts of aggression and violence among young people have multiplied since the lifting of the curfew in the city. Before the case of the Moroccan in Cales de Majorca, a Dutch tourist had been savagely beaten by eight individuals in Platja de Palma. He was admitted in critical condition to the Son Espases hospital where he remained until his death this weekend.
