Suspect Surrenders in Brutal Majorca Assault; Moroccan Victim Still Critical

The author of the assault on the Moroccan in Majorca turned himself in on Tuesday to the National Police in Manacor, accompanied by his lawyer. The victim is still between life and death in the Son Espases hospital in Palma.
Christian, the aggressor of Mohamed, had been actively sought since the assault that occurred last Wednesday. On Tuesday, he surrendered to the Manacor police with his lawyer, Miquel Àngel Ordinas, reports Ultima Hora. According to investigators, he had been hiding all this time at friends’ homes. The police are continuing the search to apprehend his accomplices, two women and a man. They could be charged with concealment and complicity.
The events took place in the early morning of Wednesday, next to a bar in Cales de Majorca. Christian, a resident of the municipality of Felanitx, approached Mohamed, a Moroccan from Manacor whom he suspects of dating his wife, to threaten him before hitting him in the eye with a chain. As the victim collapsed, the aggressor continued to kick him in the head, causing him serious brain injuries.
Christian and his accomplices then fled, leaving the Moroccan unconscious on the ground. The police were able to identify the aggressor on the surveillance cameras. As for Mohamed, he is still between life and death at the Son Espases hospital. "I just want justice to be done, the beating was savage. The doctor told me that my brother had brain injuries and that his condition was extremely serious," said the victim’s brother.
