Moroccan Ramadan TV Series Sparks Controversy Over Alleged LGBTQ Content

Does the series "2 wjoh" (two faces) address homosexuality? This is what many Internet users seem to be denouncing on social networks after the broadcast of an excerpt from the teaser of the series which will be broadcast daily at 7:45 pm on 2M during the month of Ramadan.
The subject is causing controversy on the web. According to Internet users, it is not decent to schedule the broadcast of the series "2 wjoh", which praises homosexuality, during the sacred month of Ramadan. In the excerpt from the teaser that caused the outcry, we hear the actress Dounia Boutazout addressing one of the main characters of the series in these terms: "From the beginning, I understood that the weather at your place is not stable." A line that would evoke homosexuality.
The series tells the story of a young homeless woman who pretends to be a man, but does not fail to express her femininity by putting on makeup from time to time. "The excerpt circulating on some social media pages is completely taken out of context, as the scene has nothing to do with the subject of homosexuality," says a 2M source, who deplores this unnecessary controversy.
"It is rather a matter of dealing with social phenomena closely linked to poverty, begging and the problems that women in vulnerable situations face in certain precarious environments," explains the same source, stressing that the Aïn Sebâa channel attaches great importance to the quality of its programs during the month of Ramadan.
