Moroccan Ports See Surge: Over 116,000 Passengers Transit Through Tangier in First Month After Border Reopening

About a month after the reopening of the borders between Morocco and Spain, some 116,000 passengers transited through the ports of Tanger, according to the government.
Traffic at the two ports of Tanger has increased significantly since the resumption of relations between the two countries, says Mustapha Baitas, government spokesman.
According to official figures, 78,497 passengers and 22,918 vehicles entered through the Tanger Med port. At the same time, 65,684 passengers and 18,708 vehicles left the port for other destinations.
As for the port of Tanger Ville, the statistics indicate 38,292 passengers and 5,210 entries, against 35,967 passengers and 5,201 exits.
