Morocco and Spain to Reopen Ceuta and Melilla Border Crossings After Two-Year Closure

Morocco and Spain have decided to reopen "in the coming days" land borders in Ceuta and Melilla.
Closed for two years due to the Covid-19 health crisis and the diplomatic crisis between the two countries, these border crossing points will be reopened "in the coming days," announced the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, on Wednesday.
During a side interview on the sidelines of the global meeting on Daesh, the minister discussed the prospects for Moroccan-Spanish relations, stating that "bilateral relations between Rabat and Madrid are good in light of the new political rapprochement on many common issues."
He added that "the bilateral meeting resulted in an agreement on a future roadmap to deepen bilateral relations."
