Moroccan Opposition Party USFP Predicts Collapse of New Government Coalition

Excluded from the government majority and after explaining its choice to switch to the opposition, the USFP predicts the explosion of this RNI-PAM-PI coalition, established by the designated Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

At a press conference held on Wednesday, Driss Lachgar attacked the union formed by the three parties that came out on top in the last elections.

According to the Secretary General of the Rose party, "the majority as it has been formed, has made politics lose its meaning" while wondering "how to convince national public opinion, of the alliance of a party with an organization against which it has fought throughout the last electoral campaign?".

In his criticism, Driss Lachgar expressed his "fears for the homeland, in the face of this trio (RNI-PAM-PI)", expecting that "the majority will soon explode, since it carries within it all the contradictions".

The boss of the Rose party also believes that "the government coalition has undermined the democratic process that the country celebrated on September 8", also criticizing the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) which, according to Lachgar, "was not convinced that the modernist reformist trend could win the elections".

However, he noted that he is not in conflict with the PAM with whom he intends to discuss in the coming days. "The old parties can never be abandoned in favor of the newcomer," he hammered.
