Moroccan Mother of Three Fatally Stabbed by Ex-Husband in Spain, Children Witness Attack
A Moroccan man was arrested on Wednesday in Barbastro, Spain, for stabbing his ex-wife, also of Moroccan origin, to death. The couple’s three minor children witnessed the murder.
The victim lived with the three children on the first floor of a building. Despite the first aid given to her by a mobile intensive care unit, the 40-year-old Moroccan woman did not survive. As for the children, they were taken care of by the social services of the city.

According to the neighbors who alerted the Civil Guard after hearing the victim’s cries for help, she "was a very pretty and good woman". "She was a very kind, very educated woman; she never passed by without saying a word to you," said a neighbor.
The alleged killer was kept in the apartment by the Civil Guard agents who cordoned off the perimeter, preventing access to the 43-story building. For its part, the local police cut off traffic on the road to allow the investigators to do their work.
