A Moroccan man was arrested on Wednesday in Barbastro, Spain, for stabbing his ex-wife, also of Moroccan origin, to death. The couple’s three minor children witnessed the murder.

According to the neighbors who alerted the Civil Guard after hearing the victim’s cries for help, she "was a very pretty and good woman". "She was a very kind, very educated woman; she never passed by without saying a word to you," said a neighbor.
The alleged killer was kept in the apartment by the Civil Guard agents who cordoned off the perimeter, preventing access to the 43-story building. For its part, the local police cut off traffic on the road to allow the investigators to do their work.
