Moroccan Man Arrested for Stabbing Wife Days Before Divorce in Barcelona

The Catalan police arrested on Friday a Moroccan who stabbed his 42-year-old wife in the abdomen, a few days before the signing of their divorce. The victim, in serious condition, was transferred to the Vall d’Hebron hospital in Barcelona.
According to the Catalan police, the victim would have had an artery cut, reports EFE. Her husband, a 54-year-old Moroccan, is the author of this odious act. A repeat offender, he was released from prison less than two years ago after being arrested and tried for drug trafficking.
The accused is charged with crimes of mistreatment and assault. He was made available to the investigating judge in Lleida.
