Moroccan Woman’s Body to be Repatriated After Fatal Stabbing by Ex-Husband in Spain

The body of Hassna A., the Moroccan woman stabbed to death by her ex-husband on Wednesday in Barbastro, will be repatriated this Tuesday from Barcelona airport to Morocco.
All the paperwork for the repatriation of the body of Hassna A., 35 years old, is ready, the Moroccan association of the city of Barcelona tells Heraldo. The repatriation costs estimated at 8,000 euros, including 4,300 for the funeral home, have also been released thanks to the advance given by an anonymous person who contacted the Barbastro mosque to express in his own way his solidarity with the victim’s family. The amount will be returned to the unknown benefactor by the association after the fundraising campaign.

"We don’t know if he was Spanish or Moroccan, but we are very grateful for this generous gesture," explained María, a member of the Muslim community in Barcelona. Gestures of solidarity also came from the staff of the Barbastro hospital, particularly from the cafeteria where Hassna worked.
"Once the needs for the transfer of the body are covered, we wish to continue to raise funds for the three orphaned children aged 14, 6 and 1," she adds. The latter, taken care of by the social services of the Comarca, are currently living in the home of a friend of Hassna A. who used to entrust them to her to go to work.
