Moroccan Judokas Secure 4 Medals at African Youth Championships in Nairobi

One gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal. This is the harvest made by the Moroccan judokas at the African Cadet and Junior Championships which ended on Sunday in Nairobi.
Five judokas represented Morocco at these championships which took place from July 21 to 24 in Nairobi, Kenya. They are Hassan Doukkali, Nouh Lahmouri, Mohamed Taïbi, Ayoub El Messaoudi and Wissal Ziane. The only gold medal was won by Hassan Doukkali in the Juniors category (-73 kg).
He defeated his compatriot, Nouh Lahmouri, in the final, who comes away with one of the two silver medals. Before reaching the top of the podium, the Moroccan judoka had defeated the Egyptian Marwane El Tanahy, while Lahmouri had beaten the South African Timothy Mewsen.
The second silver medal was also won by the young Lahmouri in the Cadet category (-73 kg) after his defeat in the final against the Angolan Gabriel Zeferino. The bronze medal went to Mohamed Taïbi in the Juniors category (-66 kg).
