Moroccan Expat Arrested at Border Crossing with 30 kg of Cannabis Resin

An attempt to traffic 30 kg of cannabis resin on board a light vehicle was thwarted by customs and police agents at the Bab Sebta crossing point. It is a Moroccan residing in France.
During a joint control operation, customs elements, in collaboration with the police, seized this quantity of drugs, which was carefully hidden in the form of tablets in various hiding places at the level of a vehicle registered in France, driven by a Moroccan national, the same source said.
The vehicle and the drugs were seized by customs, while the driver of the vehicle was handed over to the judicial police for further investigation, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.

Similarly, during another joint control operation carried out by the same services at the same border crossing point on Saturday evening, 18 kilograms of cannabis resin were seized on board a car belonging to a Moroccan residing abroad.
The search operations, carried out jointly in the departure area in a vehicle registered in Spain, led to the seizure of the drugs in the form of tablets carefully hidden in specially arranged cavities at the level of the fuel tank, it was indicated from a customs source.
The vehicle and the drugs were seized by customs, while the driver, a Moroccan national residing abroad, was handed over to the police elements.
