Moroccan-Dutch Man Arrested at Border Crossing with 39 kg of Cannabis Hidden in Car

A new attempt at drug trafficking was thwarted on Friday at the Bab Sebta crossing point. The customs and police elements, during a joint operation, seized 39 kilograms of cannabis resin carefully hidden in a vehicle registered in Germany.
Hidden in a cavity arranged along the floor of the vehicle, the drug, packaged in slabs, was discovered by the canine brigade, according to a customs source quoted by the MAP.
At the wheel of the vehicle was a Moroccan national residing abroad (MRE), in possession of a Dutch passport. The suspect, who was about to leave the national territory, was apprehended by the police for further investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
The vehicle and the drug were seized by customs, it is further specified.
