Moroccan Exorcist Arrested: 11 Women Allege Sexual Assault During ’Ruqyah’ Rituals

The investigation conducted by the Tangier police following the filing of a complaint for sexual assault against a "raqi" has revealed new victims. The latter welcomed women to his home for exorcism.
The "raqi" would have had a total of 11 victims, Le360 believes. Other women came to file a complaint against him after hearing about his arrest. His wife, for her part, accused him of infidelity. During his hearing, the 29-year-old man did not hesitate to admit the facts. He confessed to having abused his victims inside the house that served as a place for "ruqyah" rituals in the Jirari neighborhood in Bni Makada.
Active for more than a year and a half, the "raqi" was well known on social media as he had a YouTube channel on which he promoted his services. During the search of his home, the police found "a set of tools and amulets used in witchcraft, five mobile phones documenting the criminal acts attributed to him. These objects are currently the subject of technical expertise." His trial should start in the next few days.
