Nador Adultery Scandal: Local Official and Faith Healer Face Multiple Charges

The trial of a "raqi", a municipal councilor and a married woman charged with adultery, indecent assault, sexual harassment, defamation, blackmail and recording and disseminating videos of individuals without their consent, opened before the court of first instance of Driouch, in the province of Nador.
It all started with a complaint filed by a municipal councilor with the local authorities. He accused a famous "raqi" from Imzouren, known for his occult activities in the region, of having disseminated a sex video, showing him with a married woman, reports the Arabic-language daily Assabah. The preliminary investigation reveals that the "raqi" had tried to blackmail the elected official well before the video was released. Investigators also discovered that the married woman was having sexual relations with several individuals, including the two men. The husband then decides to prosecute his wife and her lovers.

After being brought before the Public Prosecutor by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie on December 26, they appeared on Monday before the court of first instance of Driouch, in the province of Nador.
