Arrested in Ben Slimane and then prosecuted for adultery, a married woman and her lover were sentenced to a term of imprisonment.
The verdict was handed down on Monday. The criminal chamber of the court of first instance of Fqih Ben Salah sentenced a married woman and her lover to one year in prison. They were both prosecuted for adultery. In addition to the prison sentence, the accused woman must also pay the sum of 10,000 dirhams as compensation to the plaintiff (the husband).
