Vanished Wife’s Secret Rendezvous Unraveled by Police

A police investigation has shed light on the disappearance of a married woman who had been reported missing a week ago in the Fqih Ben Salah region. The investigations revealed that it was not a worrying disappearance, but a voluntary escape.
The police services found the 31-year-old woman, mother of two children, in Benslimane, in the company of a 40-year-old man. The investigation was based on the analysis of surveillance camera recordings in several bus stations and streets in the region, which made it possible to retrace their journey.
The two individuals were taken to the Fqih Ben Salah police station and placed in custody under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office. The disappearance had been reported on Saturday, September 20. The woman, who was accompanying her mother-in-law for a medical appointment, had pretended to have to go to a bookstore to buy school supplies for her children, before no longer giving any news.
