Alleged Exorcist Arrested in Morocco for Fraud, Witchcraft, and Car Theft

The police services of Oujda have arrested a famous "raqi" who is now incarcerated in the Al Arjate prison in Salé. He is accused of fraud, witchcraft, charlatanism and car theft as well as breach of trust.
In Salé, the "raqi" who made people believe that he was a fkih specialized in the roquia chariya "exorcism" is now unable to cause harm. On the run, he was arrested by the police who spotted him in Oujda as he was about to sell a stolen car, reports Assabah. His modus operandi consisted of rendering unconscious and manipulable the clients he received at his home, through acts of witchcraft and charlatanism. Then, he would take the keys of their cars to quickly make a duplicate. He had thus stolen several cars in Salé and its surroundings before fleeing following complaints filed by the victims with the police services of the city.
After his arrest, he was handed over to the judicial police elements of Salé who brought him before the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Rabat. During a search of his home, stolen car bodies, fake keys, mobile phones and other objects were seized. The investigating judge at the Court of Appeal of Rabat is in charge of this case. Pending the completion of the investigation and prosecution in detention, the "raqi" car thief has been incarcerated in the Al Arjate prison in Salé.
